While proposals do not need to align with FS4Africa\u2019s existing Use Cases, they must address one of the following food challenges:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Food safety issues associated with weak channels for value chain organisation, traceability &amp; authentication of safe food<\/li>\n<li>Mycotoxin contamination in multiple food crops, including food and feed<\/li>\n<li>\u03a5\u03c0\u03bf\u03bb\u03b5\u03af\u03bc\u03bc\u03b1\u03c4\u03b1 \u03c6\u03c5\u03c4\u03bf\u03c6\u03b1\u03c1\u03bc\u03ac\u03ba\u03c9\u03bd \u03c3\u03b5 \u03b4\u03b7\u03bc\u03b7\u03c4\u03c1\u03b9\u03b1\u03ba\u03ac \u03ba\u03b1\u03b9 \u03bb\u03b1\u03c7\u03b1\u03bd\u03b9\u03ba\u03ac<\/li>\n<li>Microbial contamination, particularly contamination from coliforms (e.g. <em>Escherichia coli<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>\u039d\u03bf\u03b8\u03b5\u03c5\u03bc\u03ad\u03bd\u03b1 \u03c4\u03c1\u03cc\u03c6\u03b9\u03bc\u03b1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><strong>\u03a0\u03bf\u03b9\u03bf\u03b9 \u03bc\u03c0\u03bf\u03c1\u03bf\u03cd\u03bd \u03bd\u03b1 \u03c5\u03c0\u03bf\u03b2\u03ac\u03bb\u03bb\u03bf\u03c5\u03bd \u03b1\u03af\u03c4\u03b7\u03c3\u03b7;<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>The call is open to <strong>single applicants only<\/strong>\u2014no consortia allowed. Eligible entities include start-ups, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), research institutions, and multidisciplinary organisations <strong>established in African countries<\/strong>. Submissions received through any other channel will not be considered and will be automatically discarded. <strong>The deadline for applications is September 30, 2025. <\/strong>Selected projects are expected to commence implementation in February 2026 and run for a duration of twelve months. FS4Africa will provide 100% funding of eligible costs.<\/p>\n<p>All application materials (documents of the Open Call kit) must be submitted in English, which is the official language of the FS4Africa project and FS4Africa Open Call.
