L'att\u00e9nuation des pertes de quantit\u00e9 et de qualit\u00e9 des aliments a \u00e9t\u00e9 discut\u00e9e lors de la conf\u00e9rence, avec des conf\u00e9renciers et des participants de plusieurs institutions, dont l'Institut international d'agriculture tropicale (IITA), l'Alliance mondiale pour l'am\u00e9lioration de la nutrition (GAIN), HarvestPlus, Afex, Harvestfield Industries Limited (HIL), Sasakawa Africa Association (SAA), Natural Research Institute\/Greenwich University, le minist\u00e8re f\u00e9d\u00e9ral de l'Agriculture et de la S\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire (FMAFS), l'Institut national de recherche sur les cultures de racines (NRCRI) et le Conseil nig\u00e9rian de promotion des exportations (NEPC), ainsi que le Association avicole du Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>L'invit\u00e9 d'honneur, le s\u00e9nateur Aliyu Abdullahi, Ministre d'\u00c9tat charg\u00e9 de l'Agriculture et de la S\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire, a f\u00e9licit\u00e9 les organisateurs de la conf\u00e9rence et a soulign\u00e9 l'importance de lutter contre les pertes apr\u00e8s r\u00e9colte dans le cadre du mandat du minist\u00e8re de l'Agriculture et de la S\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire. Il a indiqu\u00e9 que le Minist\u00e8re (FMAFS) a approuv\u00e9 la 1\u00e8re Conf\u00e9rence Postharvest Connect. Lors de son allocution, il a \u00e9galement mentionn\u00e9 que <em>\u00ab La r\u00e9duction des pertes apr\u00e8s r\u00e9colte est une strat\u00e9gie essentielle pour garantir la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire de nos citoyens [nig\u00e9riens]\u2026 nous devons donc examiner et adapter les exemples de r\u00e9ussite appropri\u00e9s pour convaincre les secteurs financiers et les investisseurs du transfert et de l\u2019adoption des meilleures pratiques et des interventions apr\u00e8s r\u00e9colte\u2026 \u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4894 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/foodsafety4africa.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/imgpsh_fullsize_anim-7-1024x695.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"695\" srcset=\"https:\/\/foodsafety4africa.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/imgpsh_fullsize_anim-7-1024x695.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/foodsafety4africa.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/imgpsh_fullsize_anim-7-600x407.jpg 600w, https:\/\/foodsafety4africa.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/imgpsh_fullsize_anim-7-768x521.jpg 768w, https:\/\/foodsafety4africa.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/imgpsh_fullsize_anim-7-18x12.jpg 18w, https:\/\/foodsafety4africa.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/imgpsh_fullsize_anim-7.jpg 1040w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">At this conference, the joint Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of the <a href=\"https:\/\/cgspace.cgiar.org\/items\/93bde0cb-606f-4ed9-be57-acf461c4bd7d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Food Convergence Innovation \u2013 Nigeria platform<\/a> was unveiled by IITA\u2019s Deputy Director-General, Partnerships for Delivery, Dr. Kenton Dashiell, and the Honourable Minister of State for Agriculture &amp; Food Security, Senator Aliyu Abdullahi. The FCI-Nigeria platform is a multistakeholder platform and one of the tools for addressing food safety in Nigeria. It is one of the tools towards the implementation of Use Cases 1 and 2 in the FS4Africa project. Representing the FS4Africa project, the IITA team included <strong>Project Coordinator Titilayo Falade<\/strong> (virtual attendee), <strong>Project Manager Olumodupe Banwo<\/strong>, and <strong>IITA Senior Scientist Alejandro Ortega-Beltran<\/strong>. They actively participated in panel discussions and muiltiple sessions at the conference. Iremide Olasope and Abiodun Opaleye from IITA and Ezekiel Udoko from HIL provided support and were designates at the FS4Africa exhibition booth. Sur le stand, les invit\u00e9s ont \u00e9t\u00e9 inform\u00e9s du projet FS4Africa et ont \u00e9t\u00e9 inform\u00e9s de la gestion des pertes apr\u00e8s r\u00e9colte, notamment via la gestion des aflatoxines et la promotion de l'utilisation r\u00e9duite des r\u00e9sidus de pesticides provenant d'une mauvaise utilisation, y compris l'utilisation de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aflasafe.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Aflasafe<\/a>\u2122 pour le biocontr\u00f4le des aflatoxines, des tests rapides utilisant Neogen Raptor\u2122 pour la d\u00e9tection des aflatoxines, DryCard\u2122 pour l'\u00e9valuation rapide de l'humidit\u00e9 et l'utilisation de sacs PICS\u2122 pour un stockage herm\u00e9tique pour g\u00e9rer les insectes nuisibles et les aflatoxines. Du mat\u00e9riel p\u00e9dagogique, notamment des d\u00e9pliants et des cartes \u00e0 code QR, a \u00e9t\u00e9 distribu\u00e9 aux invit\u00e9s qui ont visit\u00e9 le stand d'exposition.<\/p>\n<figure
