On 21 July 2026, FS4Africa held its fifth online incubation workshop, bringing together project teams and stakeholders to explore how Living Labs can support innovation in Africa’s agrifood sector. Hosted online by the Innovation Technology Cluster (ITC) in collaboration with the African Network of Living Labs (ANoLL) and Green Point Living Lab (GPLL), the workshop brought together 21 participants, including FS4Africa Use Case teams and stakeholders interested in fostering innovation in African agrifood systems.

The workshop introduced participants to the Living Lab approach, highlighting how it can support the co-creation, testing, validation, and scaling of innovative agrifood solutions. Dr. Saša Štraus presented the key principles and practical implementation of Living Labs, while Dr. Oyediran Olusegun Oyebola shared valuable insights into their application within African agrifood systems, focusing on stakeholder engagement, governance, and real-world experiences.

The event concluded with interactive discussions and a Q&A session, providing participants with the opportunity to exchange ideas and explore how the Living Lab methodology can be applied within their own contexts.
