On June 15th, 2026, the EU Ambassador to Nigeria and ECOWAS, H.E. Gautier MIGNOT, alongside Prof. Leila Ben Amor Mathieu, paid a visit to the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) premises.

Cilj FS4Africa project coordinator, Dr. Titilayo Falade, together with members of the team, welcomed the Ambassador and had a thorough discussion upon strengthening the food safety networks in Africa.
It was a unique opportunity in a true privilege to engage directly with the EU Ambassador and showcase results from the EU-funded projects that IITA is driving. Dr. Titilayo Falade highlighted FS4Africa’s core research and brought out the innovation that occurs collaborating with the EU projects with implementation activities that include Nigeria:
